What makes the UPSC Exam so tricky?

The UPSC full form of the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Exam test is often regarded as India’s most challenging examination. This is due to the meager pass rate in this area. There’s also a massive syllabus to learn, not to mention the wide range of subjects covered.

Let’s begin by discussing the exam format first. The exam is broken up into three sections. There are three stages: preliminary, mains, and final.

The Preliminary Exam

Prelims have two papers. There’s General Studies I and II. General Studies 1 has 2-point questions that must be answered in 2 hours.

General Studies 2 has 80 2.5-point questions. The CSAT tests critical thinking and creativity. This game tests your mind and decisions. General Studies 1 and 2 both have 200 points available.

The Mains Round

All nine main-round papers are in. YES! The total is nine. Only the best may enter. After getting enough marks, the candidate will be asked for an interview and score 275 points. With 2025 points, your ultimate score is computed.

Interviews

The final round is often more arduous than the written tests. Candidates undergo a 275-mark personality test at UPSC Bhavan in New Delhi. You must know your subject, especially current events, and think clearly. Your civil service qualifications will be evaluated.

Conclusion

The UPSC civil service exam is extensive because of the challenges candidates face, and the time it takes to prepare for the test. Therefore, your potential to perform well on the exam is strongly related to your level of preparation. Don’t be afraid of the competition or the size of the exam. The exam will be easier if you keep these ideas in mind when studying.
